HELP! Cracked my hub
« on: July 01, 2012, 09:11:31 am »
Fitted my new wheels and looks like the studs from the adaptors have screwed straight through into the hub behind causing it to crack.

WTF should I do?

Is this going to lead to a catastrophic failure and my wheel flying off? Is this part going to available from a scrappy? I appreciate I'll need to amend my adapter design to prevent this from happening again :-/

Looks like just the disc that's cracked, and they also look past their best anyway so no big deal.

Whats with the lip on the 3 top holes on the disc that are not used as bolt holes! Looks like there's a lip on them.

That's where my studs from my adapters have screwed through too far. They're too long so need to be cut down

surely the adapters should bolt to the original bot holes not them holes? them holes aren't threaded

Adapters will bolt onto the original threaded holes, then the adapters will have a threaded 5 stud pattern in them for the wheel to bolt onto. Lokks like the wheel bolts that are too long.
