Check out 'freds tdi page' its mainly an american site but lots of good info on there.

I would start with altering the breather hose from the cam cover to vent to atmosphere or a catch can and blanking the EGR valve. Give the boost system a good clean out including the inlet manifold and replace the seals.

What do you want to know? All the 1.9TDIs are essentially the same lump with different bolt ons.

The EGR issue for one, is it best to blank or is periodic cleaning ok etc. Can't fault the Bora TBH, although I do have a vibration/resonance at 2000-2300rpm which is 70-75mph in 6th which bugs me and I'd like to fix, its really smooth at 70 and again at 80 on my private runway, but at these rpms I can feel it in all gears. And the temptation for a cheeky map in the new year is obvious, so want to know the best route there too :happy2:

Best to get a straight thru EGR delete pipe, similar to below.

If you intend to map it, I would get rid of the cat, ad replace it with a decat... then map it. The 130PD was a good choice, the 150PD are known for spitting out cam followers.... you should be able to get 170-180bhp out of the 130PD.

I run a PD130 Bora as a daily too Gaz, proper good runners I think!

Mines remapped with an EGR delete and I've smashed the cat out too, it goes alright and obviously mega on fuel!

Vibration is likely to be flywheel.
