Done it!!! A Gti mk5 Owner!!!

Hi all, done the deal today on 06 GTI. Looking forward to getting my hands on it properly!!!
Got to transfer private plate on it (which is an experience looking at all the forms) tax it etc and its having an oil service, air con re gas and VW point check so wont pick up until next week I would say, have to be patient!!
Stage 1 remap first job i think? Do you have to replace the diverter valve (think that's what its called) liked I did on my mk4 gti t?

Good decision! Mate, you'll have so much fun driving it, mine puts a smile on my face every time, even just looking at it out of the window!

Loads of threads and help etc on here on Stage 1, mines going in next month for Revo stage 1, but I'm pretty sure you don't need to do anything other than the remap on the MK5. It's Stage 2 when you have to start spending some dough.

What's the colour and spec?

5 door, manual, black, cloth interior, sunroof, 17inch alloys, sat nab, cruise and a lux pack that folds mirrors and let's you programme auto door locking, lighting etc. lovely but of kit, looking forward to it. Your right, second test drive today and it certainly puts a smile on your face!!!!

its recommended you replace the DV, but just to the newer OEM one, no need for an aftermarket alternative.
