As title states I'm not sure.. I have an 07 plate mk5 but the fogs aren't originally from my car and I don't know what year they came off of but have an idea it's an earlier model to mines. Does anyone know how I can tell the difference? I think I read somewhere 06 or 07 onwards was one of either HB4 or H11? The wiring sets are from KUFATEC.

They should be HB4's but do you have a pic of the fogs?

Projector style fogs are H11, reflector style fogs are HB4.
My 2005 GTI has o.e.m. projector style fogs, they look better, but I guess they are more expensive, so VW replaced them for reflector style fogs on >2006 mk5's.
(Thought axx came with projectors, bwa came with reflectors)

I originally had 'standard' reflector fogs in my 2006 GTI but changed to 'projectors'.

To do this I had to buy some bits and made two convertor cables which went from HB4 socket (to connect to car's existing HB4 plug) to HB11 plug (to connect to HB11 socket on rear of new projector fogs).  With the bits I had left over, I made the 'reverse' cable, so I've got a couple of these spare..

These would be suitable for any one originally with projectors who wants to replace them with reflectors.  Saves hacking off connectors!

Post above edited to read "HB4's" . Went out into the garage to check the fog bulb package that I still have and yes, they are HB4/9006 stage 1 hyper yellow. Apologize for the mistake.. :[
