Help with Geometry settings ??????
« on: March 26, 2012, 05:08:46 pm »
Hi guys, i am fitting my walk and bilstein b12 kit with h&r springs at the weekend. The car should be lowered around 30mm. Can anyone tell me what my geometry settings should be for normal road use as i will be taking it for a full set up once all is fitted. Cheers guys.

If you take it to somewhere that knows what they are doing, they will know the settings that you require. If they don't, the chances are they don't know what they are doing.

 :signLOL: good point Rich!!!
Just make sure you take it to a 4 wheel geometry specialist, anything else won't be good enough!!

I always set the front as close to but not over 1deg toed in, 0.5deg toed in is perfect for less HP cars. And the rear is always between -1.0 to -1.5 camber.

Right, here's where it stands. I have been to a 4 wheel alignment center local to me, he has the state of the art machine. I have spoken to the operator and he is telling me that he will only be able to align  my car to the standard settings at normal ride height, but as i am fitting h&r springs then i am assuming that those settings will be useless. Hope you understand this coz i dont,

was told the same thing based on the above information today. I was also told that they can't adjust the front castor either, which seems off so i left and am going to ask elsewhere.

Road only: alignment to Volkswagen specs

And try a search if you feel a need to learn more. Your're not the first.
