Amazing just how many on here satrted thier driving years in an MG Metro!
I thought I was the only person sad enough to have owned one as a first car.Although having said that,my missus had a Vanden Plas Metro in gold when I met her...I had a silver MG.
Maybe it's rose-tinted glasses but that little MG was an awesome motor! :scared: :grin:

Looking at that brings back memories. I had a black B reg one for about a month before I wrote it off in the wet. Took a corner to fast, turned the wheel and carried on in a straight line! I thought it looked really sporty at the time, mad how tastes change
