Boost gauge wiring
« on: June 06, 2012, 07:07:56 pm »
I have just fitted a newsouth boost gauge.

For wiring it in to the head light switch i followed the newsouth performance instructions and connected the red wire to position 8 of the connector and the black wire to position 3 of the connector.

This just put the side lights on permanantely. Does anyone know what im doing wrong or which wires i should connect it too so that the gauge lights up with the rest of the dash?

Thanks

Also what boost should i be expecting for a stage 2 ko3 with TBE

At the moment it peaks at 15-16psi and drops back to 11psi. Does that seem a bit low?

Thanks for the reply.

Yes think thats what i should be expecting. The car drives really well so dont think there is a boost leak. Had the DV replaced at same time as it was mapped so shoulf not be a problem.

Got a feeling the hole in the port of the newsouth no buzz fitting T-piece is too small and is restricting the boost pressure to the gauge. The hole in the T-piece is tiny compared onto the hole on the gauge end.

Will take it off tonight and try and make the hole a bit bigger and see if that helps.
