RCD300 & RNS510 swap
« on: June 30, 2012, 09:24:07 am »
I'm looking to swap a RNS510 and RCD300 between 2 08 plate cars.
Do I need the adaptor for the aerial and a new gps aerial?
Or is it possible to get the factory fit gps aerial out? Do I need an adaptor to allow the rcd 300 to go where the rns510 was ?

The gps aerial and convert to the 510 seems straightforward putting the rcd300 where the 510 was seems like it might need an adaptor made. Are they standard connecters ? Maybe I can get some and make a cable.

You'll need an aerial adapter for the car with the RCD, unless the other car has one

Thanks but I also need the opposite of that to fit a Rcd300 into a rns510 connector.
