Fog light drl
« on: October 27, 2012, 11:24:23 pm »
I have used the search function but not found wht I want

I have fitted highline cecm and activated cornering fogs but I want the fogs as drls so I can run Fabia drls

Is there a OEM way of getting them to work. I activated them through the CECM but will only work with Scandinavia drl so sidelights all round are on

IIRC the north America setting just does the fogs. One of the bite's in that module does the brightness (mine are 80%).

They also turn off when you apply the handbrake  :happy2:

Fabia DRL's are Hella like mine aren't they, Dan?

Wasn't it you who fitted and connected mine when you were at VW Loders?

Yeah they are hella

I helped with the mounting if your drls but not the wiring. I could wire them up like yours but wanted to do a oem install without extra wires

This might not be what you want but just in case it's any help, here is my Hella connections diagram:

The Hella LED DRL's really are an excellent highly reliable light - Very effective indeed in getting you seen without blinding anyone (except baby bunnies and hedgehogs). I've had mine for a few years now and I have had to put up with a lot of piss taking in the early days but now people are at last beginning to 'get it'  :rolleye:

Good to see you and Dave and the blonde GF's yesterday, mate  :happy2:
