MK6 Reversing Cameras...

Just a quick question. I know you can retrofit the reverse cameras into MK5, however can you retrofit with 3rd party head units. I've a Pioneer AVH-BT which has an input for a reverse camera and was wondering if I can use the MK6 kit. Or is the loom only able to connect with RNS head units? The Pioneer unit does have a reverse camera kit that is available separately, but I think the MK6 kit is a neater solution?
