Juddering
« on: November 15, 2012, 04:42:14 pm »
Hi everyone I have a quick query about my Golf 1.4S

When reversing or pulling off in 1st, unless I am really gentle with the clutch and accelerator together the car judders really heavily, at times like a pneumatic drill  :signLOL:

Also noticed the other day that when im doing a slight hill start, the clutch vibrates.

Is it something to worry about?

Sounds like your clutch is slipping. May be time for a new one Fella.

Hmmm just confirmed what I thought really was hoping someone would tell me a different / cheaper model.

I guess a clutch replacement is due though as its on 53k now.

I do think 2 of my brake pads need replacing but dont think its related to this issue. It only happens when im pulling off in 1st or reversing and by this point my foot isnt even on the brake as coming off the clutch and accelerating.

Edit: Dog bone insert?
