Help with valeo led rears
« on: March 31, 2013, 03:06:39 pm »
Hi all.

I bought some valeo led rear lights a few days ago off here and when hooked up the rear left is perfect.  However the rear right one has a problem with it. .

Heres what it does

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=599GIYOvnW8&feature=youtube_gdata_player

The 2 top leds which are not working sometimes flicker when indicating.  The other 4 near the bottom dont work.

The seller said they were working perfectly when taken off.

Could there be something like not enough voltage going to the unit ? Or has the led gave up?

Is there anyone in east london whos mk5 golf I can try it on just to make sure.

Thanks everyone

Raz

even though your video is currently unavailable to see, there will be no point rigging it up to another golf, there just susceptible to the circuits/resistors built into the lights to fail, this usually happens over winter when they get frosty.

your either stuck with it or return them, unfortunately you cannot repair this problem, unless you try and split the light apart, also it may start to work as some point as i have a cluster on the indicators that are intermittent
Loads of extra's and retro fits.

Link working.  :happy2:

Let the seller have a look at your video then come to some arrangement as that ring is faulty.

Just managed to sort a refund out from the seller.

A result but now you have to start  searching again for the rear lights...
