Hi All

Would appreciate the thoughts of anyone who can help!!

After years of Blackberry's, I decided to make the switch to Android, and bought an HTC One. Great phone, but the internet reception did not seem as good as my 9900 Blackberry. A SIM card swap, then a new replacement phone later, and it still doesn't seem quite as good. My wife has a Galaxy S2, and that browsed the same Google searches that failed on mine today. Both O2.

Any ideas? What I don't understand is that sometimes I have G or H showing, with all/some bars, but it still struggles to browse simple pages/run simple apps, such as ebay.

Please help before I throw this in for a Q10! Just to add, at home, not on WiFi, I ran a speed test on mine, and got better results on mine. I also opened the same pages at the same time, and mine was faster. It just seems that out and about mine struggles, when my wife's phone just about seems to work!

Thanks

Is the firmware up to date ? I'm sure I read of an issue which was sorted by an update.
Swap you for my xperia z  :happy2:

It's as simple as your phones design isn't as good as the s2 or your older phone. Some phones pick up signal better than others.

I can sit in my living room both me and mrs on giffgaff ill get full hsdpa she gets gprs. My s3 picks up signal better than the 4s.

.......but surely the new HTC One should perform better, or at least no worse than an old S2? Disappointing if not!

Can you switch between 3g and 4g on your phone settings? Got a new work phone, Nokia Lumia 825...I hate it, and I can switch between the two. Outside of London 4g is useless, keeps dropping, no constant signal.

No, I don't think so. Only choices are WCDMA Only, GSM Only and WCDMA / GSM Auto.....

I personally would get a q10, nice looking phones but the os is still lacking imo.

Iphone or s3/s4/note2 I would recommend.
