Trip computer not working

Well.. 45 minutes into being a member comes my first troubleshooting question.

Basically, my trip computer doesn't switch screens using the stalk. Would this be a simple fix via VagCom/VCDS or is it a PITA fault to fix?

Sorry for looking like the typical 'join up for a quick fix' member, there were plenty on the others forums I have been on.

First thing to do its get it scanned. My wiper stalk is faulty too but is intermittent.
