Help..after smooth tyre pics please
« on: December 02, 2008, 11:17:17 pm »
I know I have seen this on threads before, I am going to sand down the writing on my new tyres. I just want to make sure i'm doing the right thing and now cant find any pics of this.

P.S If anyone knows what grade paper would be best?

Ah the smoothed tyre technique :) just make sure you only take the lettering off and not go any deeper.

Tip write down all the information on the tyre before you do it and keep it in your glove box you never know when you'll need it.

Another point I dont know were you would stand if you were pulled by the rozzers

Why would the rozzers have a problem with it?? Can't think why they would?

Because how will they know if your tyres are E marked or the correct speed rating etc.
Pretty sure it could be an MOT failure item?

It would still have the writing on the inside....so shouldnt be a mot failure....
