REVO Stock Mode
« on: September 14, 2009, 10:27:34 am »
Just wondering if anyone here knows if REVO's stock mode is the true stock map which was on your car before the remap was loaded?  I have heard that REVO's stock map is a variant of their performance sw but with the settings turned down (boost, timing and fuel)

You are indeed correct - it is not the OEM stock map but their own variant there of.

....

Extremely useful it is too :notworthy:.

Not only was it invaluable for allowing me safe use of my car while my turbo had a leak, but it automatically resets to Revo's 'Stock' if the battery is disconnected for any reason.

My Car never has resetted after a battery disconnect.

I even had the battery off for about 12 hours whilst fitting a few bits to the engine and left the battery off overnight to give it a bit of maintenance.

I thought it did revert back to VW stock, but because of the way Revo codes the tables it makes it look like it's running their version??
Sideways yo!

 - Well mine most definitely has reset to Stock on several occasions, one witnessed by JKM and another witnessed by my VW dealer whose Techie has now left to become a Revo agent (amongst other things).

This is Revo2 I'm referring too. Is yours Revo1 or 2? If you're at Revo1 then I'm thinking they must be different regarding reset.

P.S. - I know from the performance feel of driving the car: "Oops, where's all the grunt gone!?", others may know from logging my car.

I have to say Carl it is normal for the map to revert back to dull settings if the battery has been off for a while.  It's known and excepted by Revo as a function of the way the map is stored in memory.
