Just had 3'' Downpipe and Sports Cat fitted
« on: September 21, 2009, 02:22:07 pm »
Ive just got back from pipewerx where i have had a dp and cat made up on the car to fit the standard cat back, it is awesome!! The quality of it is amazing, i watched him make it in front of me, its finished so well he spent ages cleaning it up and smoothing the welds etc. This is the 2nd downpipe ive had from pipewerx and wont be going anywhere else for exhaust!

Im just downloading the stage 2 map but even without it theres a massive difference, feels so much more willing to rev, picks up well too especially top end

Im very happy with it  :jumpmove: :jumpmove: :jumpmove:

Sounds good. Pipewerx is run by the ex Dubsport guru.  :happy2:

What was the cost? How much more for a full system?

I have the pipewerx 3" dp on my vRS with std cat back, and it sounds nice. i tried the owner of AMD essex's vRS which had a full miltek TBE and his didnt sound as meaty. Id be dubious to know how loud the CAT back would be on it though.

is yours k04 or k03

K04, I agree it does sound good, i think it would be too loud though with the cat back, i certainly wont be getting one now  :happy2:

Had a full pipewerx system on my old MKV TDI. The quality of work was first class and surprisingly it made a diesel sound nice under load  :congrats: :pomppomp:

I enquired about a turbo back system for my edition 30, about 3 months ago. Unfortunately the cost for the  system was expensive compared to blueflame and Milltek but I'm sure a group buy may improve things.

Well i had a massive urge to buy the apr rsc exhaust but when i came to my senses realised it just wasnt realistic at £1400  :scared:

I was torn between a cat back for sound or dp for performance, i chose the dp as i knew i would always want it and as a bonus it has improved the sound so im made up.

Spoke to jbs the other day and am thinking about getting the kmd internals then i should be shmo didly  :jumpmove:
