Caliper Paint
« on: February 17, 2014, 12:01:33 pm »
I'm going to be changing my front brakes in the next week or so. The new calipers are black so I need to paint the rears to match.

Does anybody reccommend any particular caliper paint to use or is the Halfords stuff good enough?

Halfords VHT paint is fine, used it a few times on calipers and discs, works a treat.  :happy2:

Foliatec brake caliper paint is the freshest and most durable out of everything I've tried.

I used Hammerite on mine.  Although if you're going for the red that comes on the GTIs the Halfords stuff will most likely be best.  If you consider changing colour or for anyone else considering it I'd recommend Hammerite.  It's been on for just over 10k and still looks as good as it did when I put it on (apart from a bit of brake dust that needs cleaning off).
