Audi S1
« on: March 08, 2014, 08:14:57 am »
I thought a few of you guys would be interested....

Here the configurator: http://www.audi.de/de/brand/de/neuwagen/a1/s1.html#page=/de/brand/de/neuwagen/a1/s1/zubehoer.html

It converts to english and can see all the options fine.

Really tempted by one of these, just need to see what deals are available at launch. Would love a Sepang Blue with Black Edition exterior pack and Quattro interior pack. £30k though!!!!

Agree it is very tempting but it is too close in price to a discounted S3 or a new R or even a GTi PP.

Those cars just offer that little bit more practicality for very similar price. My wife has an A1 S line already and it is a fantastic car but the GTi is so much more practical that we have.

There are just too many other options at that price point. Now if it was closer to £20k then that's another conversation but will never happen

I've had two A1 courtesy cars and a friend has an S-Line.
I agree they are too small inside for the price, but I don't doubt the S1 would be a hoot to drive.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

I know what you mean about the price bud, bit personally the golf looks have gone down the pan a bit. The arse end of the mk7 is awful! Aren't new s3s closer to 40k?

If you get a basic model then they're a bit cheaper!  :driver:

Will see what you van get when the demos have a few miles on them!

I'm sure it's fun to drive, but not worth the price tag in my opinion.

I agree. Should be a 20k car.

Can't see who'd walk past Golf GTi, M135i or S3 to pay £30k for this.

Well, other than hairdressers.

Will definitely be on my shopping list when I come to replace the GTI, but that won't be for at least another year yet! That's assuming they offer the S-Tronic gearbox as I won't be going back to a Manual. I also quite like the look of the Polo R but seems to be a question mark about whether it will go on sale or not.

Nice cars, don't get my wrong, but my Mum has an A1 and I can barely fit in it. At 6ft 5, I am way too tall. Too small for the price as people are saying, and well, too small for me  :P
