Idle hunting
« on: November 10, 2014, 08:11:57 am »
Ive always had abit of idle hunting when cold with the rs4 injectors but yesterday its staying permanent and afr gauge is showing rich on idle.. Car sometimes hesitates alittle bellow 2,000rpm but only sometimes and very slightly

Car is fine on wot and so are afrs, im thinking some kind of vac leak or sensor problem, flapper motor?

Anyone got any ideals

Cheers

P.s had a new catback the day before.. Was fine that night when i took it out to test and then the next day i had this issue. I dont think its related to the exhaust though

Get it smoke tested to eliminate all leaks.

I just pop the air filter off and go through the intake pipe.  It doesn't run that much pressure so doesn't always show minor leaks.  Nothing needs blanking off.

That's been broken and glued up before. It just has two screws. T-15 or T-20.  Have a rag as some oil will come out if it. Around £100 iirc.
