Importing car from Germany
« on: November 15, 2014, 01:02:42 pm »
Been looking for a 4 door for a while. Cheapest standard gti i can find in my area starts at about €9,500 in sh*tty condition. I'm thinking about selling my 05 two door with 144,000 kms and importing something from Germany. The prices seem much more reasonable and i suspect the cars have been better maintained.

I will have to pay import taxes etc but should still be cheaper than buying same spec car in Spain.
A few of the cheaper ones i have found.

I live in Spain so LHD only. I bought my current GTI without seeing it. Sent my mum to test drive it as it was the other side of spain. Cars in spain are very expensive and not well looked after my current GTI was the exception due to having two british owners.
The pirelli looks nice but low spec.

I don't think the ED30 or Pirelli were available in Spain so would be nice to get something a bit different.
