Looks awesome. The overall aim of my build! Loads of the same options. Mines 5 door steel grey dsg as well. Although I dont have the sunroof xenons or folding mirros :sad1:

Is that shot after the refurb? I think I prefer the grey inserts on the steel grey

Thanks mate.
Still a few things I want to get sorted though.
No alloys still need refurbing they don't clean up to bad but up close are pretty tatty!
I'm looking into buying new ones, probably after the winter.
I've not really thought about grey inserts will have to look into that.

I've put the pics up in my thread of the mk6 badge. Have a look at my alloys on the first page to see a tatty alloy

Well things started to go pear shaped after I had a new thermostat at a cost of £480 which included a new rad etc.
Didn't even get home when the oil pressure light came on.
Got recovered to garage, suspected oil pump failure!!
Cost of repair was ridiculous !! I've already spent £1200 on this car in the last 6 months I just couldn't keep spending money like this so had to make a tough decision .
My ownership of a mk5 gti was short lived I traded it today for something a lot newer.
They are a great car but very expensive to mantain and have lots of issues maybe I just got a bad one ....?!

I do like the grey Gti. It seems to suit the car better than others. Sorry to see you had a bad start, hope things improve.
