TPMS fitting instructions.

has anyone got a guide on how to do this.

Thinking it would be something useful to have fitted with having low profile tyres.

Is it a case of fitting sensors to all 4 wheels or does it work another way?
How hard can it be?

The kit turned up today and it looks like it's the wrong one!
I got the same kit. Haven't looked into fitting yet. Why do you think it's the wrong one?

Incase you still need help or anyone else for that matter....

I fitted mine this evening and the kit is correct.

Although no errors in VCDS, my EPS and TPMS switches were not functioning or illuminating and VCDS showed them not operational.
After tracing the wiring I found the 3 pin connector that was pre wired with the kit has the black and brown pins the wrong way round...

To summarise the info:
The loom comes with a red connector block, this goes into the TPMS switch.
From that connector you will have three wires going to a pre wired 3 pin connector. (Black, Brown, Grey)
There will be another three wires loose. (Black, Brown, Grey). These wires will need to go into the EPS switch connector (white).

Remove Grey wire from pin 3 of EPS switch, put into pin 1 of empty 3 pin connector.
Put spare grey wire coming from TPMS switch into pin 3 of EPS (where you just removed the wire from).

Remove Black & Blue ( or black & green) wire from pin 4 of EPS switch, put into pin 2 of empty 3 pin connector.
Put spare black wire coming from TPMS switch into pin 4 of EPS (where you just removed the wire from).

Remove brown wire from pin 6 of EPS switch, put into pin 3 of empty 3 pin connector.
Put spare black wire coming from TPMS switch into pin 6 of EPS (where you just removed the wire from).

Connect male & female 3 pin connectors, which allows the original feed to EPS, to feed both switches.


You then run the long red wire through the grommet with the big bulk of wires that comes out behind the battery, above the ABS module.
I removed the battery to give better access.
Connect the red wire into (pin 27 if manual gearbox)  or (pin 35 if DSG) of the ABS connector plug.

Heres the original info from Eddie that really helped me out  :happy2: Kudos to Ed
You need to remove 3 wires from the ESP plug, then you insert them into the plug supplied. The 3 wires on the loom go to the ESP plug

ESP Plug
GREY Wire (pin 3) - Remove and fit to pin 1
BROWN Wire (pin 6) - Remove and fit to Pin 3
BLACK AND BLUE or BLACK AND GREEN (pin 4) - Remove and fit to pin 2

You then code up in VCDS.
I had to update coding for TPMS in ABS and central convenience modules. (add / subtract 16384 to existing coding value).

Ensure your tyres are all inflated properly, long press the TPMS button, you should hear a 'bong'. This signifies the TPMS system is in learning mode to learn the wheel rotations for different speeds, which once complete will allow it to determine if there is a pressure drop.

If you reinflate the tyres, either as maintenance or after the TPMS warning going off, you should long press the TPMS switch again.

Hope this helps, i'm just regurgitating the information already out there in various posts, but it helps to have it one place.
