Edition 30 Number and Plaque

Hi There,

I have just been advised by VW my build number is 67 but the plaque had already been sent out to a previous owner so not sure what they did with it as was not on the car

VW have said they will send out a replica as they made some incase of people damaging or losing theirs but it wil not have my number on. Does anyone know will it be a random number over 2400 or something like 0000 or will it be blank where the number should be?

Also is there anywhere I can get a replacement made with my Number on it.

Received my letter this morning and as my Plaque had already gone they have allocated me with No 2387 but surely as there were around 2400 made then someone else out there will have No 2387 ED30?

they also told me the same but never sent me the plaque there is a company that i got off here. That actually made plaques for VW but after i spoke to them it was in region os £120 for plaque so i didn't go for it .

VW sent me a replica one as mine was gone. It was No 2387. I am in the process of slicing the No off the bottom and the Edition 30 part left I am going to attach to the bottom of my GTI badge on the grill
