Porsche Panamera calipers adapters for mk5
« on: September 07, 2015, 03:33:13 pm »
I want to mount the Panamera 6pot calipers on my mk5, but I can't seem to find adapters for them, I will be using them with the ML 350mm discs

Did you guys try this on your cars?

Wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to get Porsche Cayenne's 6 pot calipers? There are lots of sellers for the adaptor bolts...

I'm not sure there is any yet, but contact someone like Vagbremtechnic to see if they can help you out.

Also worth seeing if the ML350 discs will work wih those calipers, as mentioned they work for the Cayenne 6 piston calipers so may also work. Saying that, if the calipers you have are only slightly different in shape, may offer them up to the hub and see, as when fitting Cayenne calipers to a mk5/6 hub you just need the adapter bolts, no brackets...

Some further Google searches showed this:

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=vw+golf+cayenne+brakes&biw=1600&bih=775&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAWoVChMItJaQgvDsxwIVJpvbCh0XVwi_#imgrc=_

Now I searched for 'Cayenne' calipers but clearly some of the images are of the same calipers you have, so I'd imagine it's a similar build to the Cayenne 6 pistons. All you'll need then is bolts and lines:

Bolts - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vw-Golf-Mk5-Mk6-Mounting-Bolts-for-Porsche-Cayenne-Calipers-Audi-Q7-Brembo-/111067552499?hash=item19dc245af3

Lines - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Golf-Mk6-R-GTI-TDI-to-Porsche-Caliper-Conversion-Front-HEL-Brake-Lines-/231480180702?hash=item35e54b3fde

I can't say for certain these will work, but it's my best guess...
