« on: December 24, 2015, 08:27:40 am »
Hi

Can anybody recommend somebody in the Midlands to carry out the pre cat delete mod? Also roughly the cost.

Cheers

Should be something any custom exhaust place can do.

Might be worthh seeing if there's a branch of longlife exhausts near you and have a look at reviews/feedback online (each franchise is different.)

Thanks for the replies.

Matt81 - will keep you posted. Ideally would like a garage around the Burton on Trent / Derby area.

I would not mind getting this done also if you find anywhere. I am Nottingham-shire North but not far from Derby/Burton find somewhere who can do it at a god price.

Are you talking about just removing the insides or totally removing the 'box' and welding in pipe?

I had mine done in Liverpool at Riverside Racing...  They were familiar with the procedure and charged £60

Annoyingly I should have got them to do it when they fitted my cat back system whilst it was all off but I wasn't aware of the sound at that time or that precat was a thing!

If you're in North Notts you could always give Statller a ring in Sheffield. I'm just off junction 30/31 of the M1 and they're only half an hour away for me.

In case you didn't know, it's where Hurdy's mad mk6 was developed - they're bang on for any tfsi work (as well as a few big power Porsches and a 5 cylinder turbo mk6 etc!)

I've had mine done here too, makes a world of difference!
