Boost issue help needed asap
« on: January 06, 2017, 04:11:17 pm »
Hi I'm having boosting issues at 5k rpm no fault codes are coming up. It's stage 2. Should be 330bhp and 450nm bit it's not happening. All is good until 5k and it has a horrible dip in the graph
I would attach pic but don't know how to.
Had full health check last night new fuel filter (just because) and all was good.  Checked again today and nothing.

Happening in real life or just on dyno?

Happening in all gears?

Clutch slip?

On the dyno. Haven't been on road with it yet.
Not clutch slip as had new clutch and box in June.
First run with map was 475nm and 306bhp just seems to be getting worse.
2nd run was 450 and 303bhp
3rd run 444nm and 298bhp
Figures torque wise are great but the dip at 5k is shocking. Edition 35 has ko4 so should still be boosting surely ?

You're nowhere near the limits of your turbo around that no. K04 will push 350+Bhp comfortably.

Any data logs?

What was the problem?

It's always a good idea to add the solution if anyone with a similar problem comes by the thread.

Hi if I knew the solution I would. I can only go by the graph and performance difference
 Sorry I'm no mechanic
