Hey guys. So, since I'm soon is going to getting started on my seats i might aswell make it with heats.
I will have some front seats from a Cupra repolstered, the seats will have genuine Airbag and heating elements from my current seats switched over.

Anyhow, my plan is algo to upgrade my rear seats to the GTI seats instead of my current sports seats from my TDI. I like the GTI rear seat look alot more than mine.  Big question here is then if anyone ever fitted heating elements in the rear seats?

Think it would be awesome somehow make this piece of kit work to the rear seats so they all have their own control.

Here a link that shows the heating elements installed in a MK4 front seat.

Bought equipment off the seller, who is first class to deal with.

Retrofitted few sets of front seats (backs and bases) with his kits and found that job interesting but never done rear seats. If you've got the time and equipment to make bespoke harness for the rear I  can't see it being too much off an issue.

Not really into all the technic stuff in this retrofit yet.. what would be needed to make this work besides the heating elements and the stuff from first link?

Wires from the harness in the link would have to be made longer to reach. I do not have heated front seats in the car now so can't see if there should be a relay in the CECM module? I got the 3C8 module so maybe it already ready to heated rear seats?

Naturally the fronts have to work with the MkV designed system using all of the items needed.

However, you could make rears work with the kit from the MKIV and if get your clever head on you'll be able to make the power side up from the instructions provided within the MKIV kit.

You'll be pleased to known the MKIV install electrically is considerably easier than the MKV retrofit.
