Mk7 rear bench seats in mk5.
« on: November 01, 2017, 01:31:46 pm »
I have the clubsport recaro seats in the front and the edition 30 seats in the rear lets the interior down a bit as it doesn't match, I'm just wondering would seats from an mk7 golf fit an mk5, don't mind some sort of frabication, as long as safety of the rear seat passengers aren't compromised.

So MK7 front seats drop straight into a MK5?  I was thinking of doing the same as my mate's MK7 GTD cloth interior is very comfy and wouldn't look out of a place in an ED30.   I'll have a look at the rear seats and do some measuring etc to see if the rear seats will go in.

The mk7 buckets were a straight fit mate so I'd assume it would be fine with mk7 standard seats..  Would be great if you could find out if rears is possible in mk5! :P

Nice one, that solves the problem of decent Edition 30 seats being hard to get!  May as well upgrade

We both work at the same place, so we'll have a gander at the rear seat differences one lunchtime!

Look up mk7 golf GTI Velor seats, Black/Red Velours/Leather look (it's on their configuration page for a better look) I think it would suit your black edition 30 a lot better than  a diesel interior  :happy2:

Ive got mk6 GTD heated cloth seats in my 2008 mk5 gt tdi sport & they are very comfy plus they was a straight swap.
