Edition 30 DSG drive issue

Hello all, I'm looking for a bit of advise....
My Ed30 has had a problem for quite a while - after 30mins on a long run (motorway speeds) I would start to get a 'judder' from the steering wheel when foot is taken off throttle.
This would be quite a nasty rumble which was similar to a wheel balance issue.
Balancing done but problem would still occur during motorway driving after 30mins. I can drive to work in rush hour city driving with no occurrence.
Problem is getting worse - last time I used on motorway car continued to judder at slow speeds when foot is taken off throttle....
Its acting like half the splines are missing from drive, when accelerating slack is taken up, when foot off throttle more play in one half shaft than other.....
DSG oil was replaced a year ago (thought it may be temp thing). Im now getting slight knocking noise when foot off throttle.....
Tempted to throw new cvs and driveshaft on but twitchy about DSG....108000 miles and im a bit heavy footed..... Any thoughts?
Cheers
Jase
