Got a double-din aftermarket stereo arriving this week for my Mk5 Golf GTI.

I know I need a canbus adapter, aerial adapter & fascia plate. But do I need the kit that goes with the plate too?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-Golf-Jetta-Passat-2005-Onwards-Double-DIN-Facia-Kit_W0QQitemZ160403535967QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_FasciaPlates_SM?hash=item2558cbb85f

The stereo is an F900bt  wink

Help would be appreciated before I go and spend some more money....

This kit is low rent, its the one I used. I think they are all bad. Is your DD unit brand new? If so it should come with all the bits excluding the fascia.

Warning their are two sizes of trim ring for DD units.

Will have a look at the fascia fit then  :happy2:

I'm only trying to get it all by the weekend (got a rare FREE one!)... pushing it tbh  :sad1:
