I've heard various stories of why the clocks go back and forward in the UK.
One that it was done during World War II so that workers could produce more armaments. Hasn't the govn'ment realised that WW2 has ended!?
Another that it was for the farmers. But they have to get up to milk the cows before it's light anyway.
Another that it's for schoolchildren walking to school. Most school children either get driven or walked to school by a parent/adult/older sibling and anyway it's wrong to bring up children to be afraid of the dark.
I think that the time change pisses the majority of people off. Does anyone know the truth behind it existing? And will it ever get scrapped?
