From memory the gti offset is et51 so scirocco s wheels will fill out the arches by 10mm .

So from reading this thread with about a 40mm drop and 225/40 R18 tyres they would fill the arches nicely and shouldn't cause any issues?

I had these alloys on my GTI, with a 30 mm drop ,and 235 wheels they rubbed on bumps, and was told that 225 tyres would not stop this problem.

My suspension is quite low on coilies and they only rub when cornering hard and larger speed bumps. At slower speeds and taking it easy over any speed bump they are fine!  :happy2:
