Strange Wiper fault?

Hi All,

New to the site so thanks in advance for any thoughts you might be able to offer on this and Merry Christmas/Happy New Year!

An interesting one - my front wipers dont work when the car is stationary but start working again as soon as I move the car - also if I brake to a stop while the wipers are mid wipe they stay where they are! My front washer jets have also stopped working - the wipers dont even move when I pull the stalk forward.

Thankfully my rear wiper and jet works fine but it is getting a little tiring having to reverse everywhere so I'd really like to get it sorted!!!!

I've read a couple of threads which mention a potential dodgy headlight washer fuse or faulty sensor on bonnet release catch.... I mention the former because I think the fuse for this is next to the alarm fuse which I had to remove last week as the alarm kept going off randomly. I've checked and it has been replaced correctly.

It's an 05 with climate and winter packs.

Cheers all

Chris

Thanks for the prompt reply.

Any ideas on whether this means I will need to replace the bonnet catch or is there a sensor that needs replacing somewhere please?
