LED side lights
« on: January 30, 2011, 01:25:00 pm »
Hi all,

Just wondered if these:

are simply plug and play side light bulbs? And give the bluey white side light colour?

Thanks,

Ben.

I've used them for the interior and number plate and they're fine for those, really bright and White.  Got different ones as sidelights though

which ones did you buy for your sidelights?

i found these pics which are awesome:

and was hoping i could get bulbs that just plug in to give a similar effect.

Do these fit easily on the interior lights and number plates?

thanks

This shows what I used for the interior and number plates
http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=156137.0

And I'm using these as sidelights

If you want any advice on changing them just ask. I did the sidelights, number plate, boot, glove box, vanity mirrors, footwells and the ones in the ceiling in about an hour. Only takes half that if you know what you're doing. Well worth it IMO.  Some people have used different bulbs which can be cheaper, I personally found the cheap ones I chose gave errors.

Great thanks for the links!

Are they all pretty much just plug and play?

I hadnt thought of doing all the interior ones but  i bet it looks quality.

Cheers for the help!

They're plug and play ish. The footwell light housings need to be prised open and shut after, and the boot holder is a bit big so a folded piece of foil is needed to wedge in at one end. Nothing too difficult though.
