Advice needed on a problem

Got a 2007 mk5 gti 32k on clock
Got the car shaking /shuddering at 60 mph + only does it when your not on the accelerator or brake ie when engine breaking. Does not seem to do it when you put the dsg into neutral at that speed too any one experienced this ? Just had 2 new front bearings and hubs fitted but still doing it and all the wheels been checked for balance. Does not come through steering wheel but you can sit there and watch the passenger seat just shaking it's that bad

No clue what your problem is but you must not put your DSG into neutral unless you are stationary, It is not like a manual were you can coast up to red traffic lights in neutral. I would take it to a garage who can diagnose the fault correctly before changing out things like hubs. If you can see the passenger seat shaking then it shouldn't be to hard to trace the fault.

Probably worth have the lower bushes checked/replaced.

I had a similar problem on my Mk 4 and it turned out to be a track rod end that needed replacing.  I would get a juddering through the steering wheel when I took my foot off the gas, usually at above 40mph.

How did you get to find out in the end it was that? I don't know how or what to say to vw next to do or look at? Already replaced the front Hubs and bearings? Had anyone experienced similar with a engine mount or gearbox mount ?

I took it into VW and asked a technician to come out with me so he could see what I meant and how it felt.  Left my car with them, picked it up at the end of the day and the problem was fixed.  They did all the diagnosis work, I just showed and explained what the problem was.

I'm not saying that it's the same problem you've got though, it may be something else, so don't go into your dealer and say that Golfgirl told you what it was

Update today and currently have 4 wheels on gti from a golf tdi 17 inch and the problem has gone VW said my wheels all out by 5-10 on balance which is nothing would this have an effect on the car that much ? Car is now a dream to drive had *** mph tonight with no problem driving now how it should going back for my wheels tomorrow night tempted to keep these lol

Update now had my monzas balanced by VW and back on car now the car shuddering again so it's def the wheels or tyres what would everyone do now ???? Advice please

Go to an indy garage you know and trust or has a good reputation and get them to re-balance the wheels and send the bill to VW. If your wheels were buckled, causing the bone-shaking ride then they shouldn't be able to balance them.  I think. i could be wrong tho, it's happened before.

sounds like either a bukled wheel or a tyre out of shape that is causing it

Could it be a bad tyre? So you reckon a buckled wheel Is impossible to balance ?

Took car to independent tyre place this morning rebalanced all wheels 3 out if 4 were out 1 was 40grams out after VW balanced them they had also put the balance weights in different locations around the wheel which tyre place said is not the way to balance a wheel. Problem sorted it seems now will now be looking for my money Back from VW
