Air ride kit?
« on: June 20, 2011, 05:39:53 pm »
Hi guys,

I have a 2004 GT TDI and I am considering fitting air ride suspension around September.

I have been looking on the internet and there are so many different kits available. Some being a lot cheaper than others.

I was looking at this air lift kit: http://www.air-lift.co.uk/product.php?unique_id=548

Does anyone know if this kit is any good?

As this looks like a reasonable price. I have been getting quotes from different places but they are looking at around the £3-4k mark which is too much.

I wanted to get a kit with digital management and fbss movement. I have seen another company do the same kit for £2,150 fitted but have heard some bad reviews from them and not sure whether I want them to do any work on my car.

Has anyone got any kits they recommend? I don't mind buying the kit and then getting it installed by someone else.

Thanks

Sharif

Can't go far wrong with Plush, it is worth paying the extra for it over other places as you really do get a quality kit, the chassis notch.
I had mine done in April, and took it in for its 500 mile service (not a regular thing, just to make sure it's run in properly) and the guys took some extra height off the rear helpers to get a straight drop, and FOC too.
He mainly uses Airlift products, and I have nothing but praise for mine.

I have exactly the same kit as Al and it really is the nuts! And the guys at plush are so nice and they really know their stuff.  I could have got it fit cheaper but I think it was worth stretching a little extra to get it done properly
