This is the one I bought: http://www.fastfilms.co.uk/manfrotto-pump-cup-tilt-top-head.php

They have a smaller one, but they said it wouldn't be suitable for my Nikon D5000. This one can also be mounted on the exterior of the car.

I was over at Inters a few weeks ago and drove the Cat and Fiddle and Snake Pass routes and had the camera set to take a photo every 5 seconds and got some great shots. I've not used it for video yet.

Is it legal to have them on your windscreen whilst driving, it looks quite large once you camera is attached as well.  : :rolleye:

I guess it is no less legal than sticking a big stupid sat nav unit there that blinds everybody else that is driving behing you at night or those things taxi drivers stick there.

I drove through two checkpoints with it there and nobody mentioned anything.

Got a number of these.... all different grades for use on the outside of the vehicle... going to be driving to Italy next month with one stuck on the roof....
