30,000k Hid Bulbs..are these road legal??
« on: April 09, 2009, 10:41:32 pm »
As above...I currently have 12,000k bulbs but one has just gone and I was thinking of a change.
Has anyone ever seen any 30,000k bulbs in the light?? :signLOL:

i wouldnt even touch 12k bulbs, they must be useless at night!

there is no way of getting a bulb to even 12k without seriously diminishing the output of light

They are going to be worse than the standard halogen bulbs , also there are not road legal and will probably not pass an mot (can get away with 6k or 8k). Philips also dont make and HID components so who knows who makes them , also afaik 30k are more a bluey-green than purple
