Kenwood DNX in - Power issue
« on: January 07, 2012, 09:01:53 pm »
I know its common on these.

I have a 56 plate GT TDI 170. The yellow and red leads are both 12V always and not switched. Do I need a control module or something to make it switched when I remove key so it turns off?
Also the DNX is a stock fit VW item, I ordered a double din faceplate which fits golf fine but not around DNX (Leave a little gap at bottom). Any ideas on this?

You get a 12v switched feed from the fuse box, there's plenty of unused pins in there  :happy2:

Was the double din face the original VW one as lots of the cheeper eBay copies are known for not fitting very well.

Face plate was just a ebay kit. ISO lead, Face plate and Ariel adaptor so guess I brought a duff one! Bollox!
