removing the stereo? there must be a how to on this?

Hi :)

i want to install a Ipod cable and need to remove the stereo, is there a how to on this?

i cant seem to remove the plastic part on top of the dash, ive tried with some plastic cards but just cant seem to do it :(

Go to hobbycraft and buy a pack of plastic painting knifes. They're very thin and flexible and will reduce the amount of marks and scuff, if any. You'll get five in a pack of different sizes and shapes.

The guide above is the one I used and will use again soon, very good and idiot proof (which In my case is a bonus). Bought these trim tools from eBay about 2 weeks ago and really good, have already come in very useful and cheap (£6.49)

Is an easy enough thing to do just take your time and shoulnt have any bother. Fitted an ipod lead for my neighbour in his mk5 jetta and didnt take long at all. Small torx set and they trim tools do the job but can be done without the trim tools if you dont have them.

Got these myself there very handy , did you undew to 2 tx screws under the rubber mat?
