I am currently building up my stereo system to go in the gti and I am looking for something to go in the doors, I have seens these and I know ppl rate Focal http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/10642.html

1. Would these fit in the golf ok. I have 2 speakers in the door and the tweeter in the wing mirror
2. Anybody got experience of facal speakers??
3. Any other speakers to consider??

To start the speakers will run of my RNS510 but I am looking to add another amp to run them at a later date

Thanks

Hertz and JL are a good fit in the MKV.

I have Hertz speakers in mine and they are rather good :happy2:

Yes, they are similar to the ones I have

http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/6658.html

I'm running the Fronts and a 10" Hertz sub from a 4 way Audison Amp. They don't make the amp I have anymore, but the updated one is even better. The standard sub box just didn't do it for me and I ended up building my own (see my arch install write-up) ---  http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=1063.0

Similar to this in spec.

I don't know what I would do without decent tunes and sound in the car.

with my gt td i just swapped the hu for an alpine touch screen and fitted a sub and amp, for what it was it was really rather good. I've got a set of DLS 6.5s and a DLS 5 channel amp that will go into my next car although if it turns out to be a golf I think I might have to go 3 way as the positioning of the 6.5 isn't ideal. I was going to run active but don't think i'll be able to in the GTI

I had a 2mm cushion on mine, but not as a spacer as such, just to add a dampening for vibration. :happy2:
