« on: April 23, 2012, 08:22:59 pm »
money to be sent to a random er but is on the forums of edition38 website and believe on the r32oc website.

Paypal is ok i guess, but how about bank transfer in terms of claiming your money back if something goes wrong ?

You won't be able to claim anything if you do a bank transfer.

Best bet is paypay (NOT gift) or better still cash on collection

As above.

PayPal as goods payment/non-gift may be fairly secure. Especially if you can pay with a Visa/Mastercard you may have the backup of them.

Bank transfer - not sure but I think you'd have to go through small claims court to get your money back. If the bank account details are very different to the persons name then alarm bells should ring.

If not impossible, cash on collection (after viewing) is always best. Or letting someone local to them you know and trust do this on your behalf.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)

Maybe a trusted member on this forum who lives locally may be able to collect and forward onto yourself.  If you decide to pay direct make sure as others have said it's not a Paypal Gift payment.

Do not send a bank transfer - the money will not be recoverable should something go wrong.
PayPal is the safest way (do not send as gift though), even if you have to add on the extra fee etc. with paypal you have some safety.
