Its not VAG!!

It may not be VAG, but its definately an award winner.
 This started life as EX British Gas van & after many mods we have a unique end result.
Last year it won 3rd place in Light Commercial category at the truck show & this year we won 1st place.  :jumpmove:

Nice work  :happy2: I was looking into getting one of them at one point (might have needed one for work) and was going to do something similar. What truck show did it win at??

It was Oswestry Truck show. It was a bit wet this year, they were towing trucks into the showground it was that wet!!

Not been to that one yet. Dad said it was the same at the show at peterborough this year with drivers refusing to park on the grass.

Focus RS engine had been looked into, but the engines & scrap RS's are big money :surprised:

A friend of mine built x 2 transit connect RS powered vans. He also had one with a cossie engine in, painted black with "private ambulance" stickers on it!  :jumpmove:

A couple lads I know down my way did the first cossie tranny back in the day. They did a lot of mad builds on Fords.

I have seen Geoff's vans at the shows :smiley:

Ah yeah, I remember when Geoff had a Transit Cossie in Imperial Blue a good few years ago.

I ended up dabbling in a few fast fords myself about 10-15 years ago, in between all my german motors. Had a mint low mile 1990 Escort RS Turbo, a less mint 1987 Escort RS Cab with a tweaked series 1 motor (for about 3 months over winter....wrong timing!) and a magenta sapphire 2wd cossie lastly and again briefly - was always worried about it going pop and costing me big time.

There's a garage in a quiet little village near us that always has plenty of old school fast fords outside. I used to always have a nosey when I was dropping my motorbikes off for MOT's next door.
