Revo Select + for Porsche switch, will it work VAG?
« on: July 22, 2012, 03:17:14 pm »
Hi,

Does anyone know if a Revo Select plus switch for Porsche will work with VAG models, if I put the correct settings on it?

Cheers

Unfortunately I don't own a Porsche! I just got hold of a Select + switch which has been used with a Porsche! The software disc says
"Select plus Porsche"
Ver: 1.8

If I d/l the VAG software from the revo website, will this be ok?

Yeah it must just be different software.  Give it a go.

Yep, the switches must be the same?

I d/l the VAG software & connected the switch to the car to "Acquire" the current ECU settings & it came back with:

Boost = 6
Timing = 4
Fuel = 9

So it looks like it works.  I'm not going to mess with the settings just yet, as I'm only Stage 1 at the moment.

I got another question tho.....

With options 1 (Stock), 2 (Performance), 3 & 4 (anti theft) I'm gathering these will be set for the original Porsche.... now can I change these settings or will this need to be done by a Revo installer?

Also is  0 - 0 - 0 = Stock?

Many thanks!

If you are using V-Power petrol you should be able to up your timing to 5 or 6. The exact value depends on your CFs when logging with vcds.
Without traction power is nothing!
