Please dont quote me on this, but as far as I know, the airbags do NOT need to be disabled when fitting a childseat! It was VW who fitted my Isofix childseat and I know that no airbags were disabled in the process! Enjoy your new bundle of fun! :-D

My car has curtain airbags and nothing has been disabled for the child seat in the back which is on an ISOFIX base.

AFAIA The only time you need to disable anything is if they go in the front passenger seat and you disable the airbag that side.

^ as said, nothing in the rear, only need to disable the front passenger when using the front seat with a child seat

You only need to disable the airbag when the car seat is in the front passenger seat and this only applies to the first stage car seat when the baby is facing backwards.

When your child moves up to the next size seats and is facing forwards, you can put them in the front passenger seat with the airbags back on.

Now go sleep for the next fortnight whilst you can
