Never used them. But Chichester are useless. I always use Caffyns Worthing for warranty work etc, they are brilliant.

What about JKM, or do you want full VW history?

Tend to use their Shirley, Southampton Branch as it is closer to me but have used Peter Cooper Portsmouth and found them to be about average. Phoned Shirley branch a couple of weeks ago to order something and was told there is a FOC software update outstanding from 2008 and was asked if i wanted it done. The car is booked in for this Friday :)

It's a 58 Pireilli with full Vw history so far. I will ask JKM when the dsg oil is due but I am a sucker for a manufacturers service stamp. :-)

DSG Oil is 40k or 4 years I think. Wouldn't hurt to get it done sooner rather than later.

I always use the Peter cooper in hedge end.
Brought the car from them and had all the work done by them.
After a couple of months of owning my gti I noticed a slight crunch on second gear, so I took it in and they where more than happy to look in to it.
First visit they tried a couple basic things to try and sort it, I took it away but it still not right so took it back and they stripped the gearbox and found slight wear on the 2nd synchro. In the end they replaced 2nd gear and synchro under warranty and now it is perfect.
I have always been treated well down there and the workshop manager has the patience of a saint dealing with a fussy git like me.

.
If you are near or in Portsmouth and don't need a Volkswagen stamp, then JKM come very highly recommended indeed by many folks on this forum, not just by me.

They are experts on the 2.0T FSI platform and modded cars and have a rolling road etc.

If you are local to them, why not drop by and meet some of the faces on the forum:  http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,46771.0.html

You don't have to go on the dyno, but you better tell me if you do so I can put you on the reserve list.  :happy2:

Thanks for the invite I'm number 22 :-) came last time it was great.

I am thinking maybe I don't need the stamp although currently they do have a price match on.

I've been using Peter Cooper, Hedge End for the past 3-4 years, customer service is usually good and work is satisfactory. They've always been happy to price match. One of my friends who's a mechanic there does private jobs too, prices and work are always good.
