Footrest plate - how to
« on: December 28, 2012, 05:10:31 pm »
Hey guys,

I have tried to search but to no avail... Can anyone point me in the right direction to how install please? It is the metal footrest plate with the three holes with bolts... I tried double sided tape but it isn't strong enough. This is the one I have http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-GOLF-MK5-MK6-MKV-GTI-FOOTREST-PEDAL-R32-TURBO-/160938063293?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2578a7f5bd

Thanks V much

Mine came with bolts and i undid the footrest and then drilled and mounted it.

If i remenber rightly unscrew the black slotted plastic washer behind the clutch pedal and then push the plastic foot rest upwards and it should unclip and come away.

I have pics of when I fitted mine but it is quite easy. Ill dig the pics out.

Remove plastic cover
Line up plate on plastic.
I marked mine up and drilled small pilot holes
Then fit the plate using bolts / screws provided.
Refit cover that now has plate attached.
EDIT: pics added.
