I was only a wee nipper when the pair of them were trading titles but Hunt was/is a legend as far as I/am was concerned.
Love the story of the British GP in 1976 that Hunt won after crashing out on the first lap, limping his car back to the pit via the access roads, being disqualified from the rest of the race, then the race restarting with him in it after the crowd kicked off, him winning it, then months later Nikki Lauda's team appealed the result which was then overturned and the result bEing given to Lauda.
