I didn't put grease on mine either but didn't think that would make much difference.

My bump stops did stop turning in both directions with the allen key. Currently mine are at the lowest setting. I think I will bring them out 1-2 clicks to see if that helps.
hmmm thinking i might have dodgy bumps, do you know if the part number is the same as mine which is posted in the opening comment ?

i was told by skoda today that the old part number ended in C and new one is D but looks like same parts.
